Advisory Council

The following individuals have joined forces with Starfish Junction to advise us on the direction of the event and help us to connect with delicious and amazing food and beverage companies that we can partner with to join us for the event. Starfish Junction thanks everyone for their help in making Eat This Drink That a success!

Chef Francine Marz, Director of The Culinary Arts Institute
Chef Francine Marz earned associate degrees in Culinary Arts and Baking & Pastry, and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Food Service Management from Johnson & Wales University. She also holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Argosy University and is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Organizational Leadership.

Chef Marz became the director at The Art Institute of Phoenix where she also coached the Junior ACF Hot Foods Competition Team, and took students overseas to Shanghai and Austria to compete. She has worked for companies including Dean & Deluca and Marriott hotels, becoming executive chef for the Albuquerque Marriott Pyramid. In June 2013, she became the director of The Culinary Arts Institute.

Chef Marz is also a Certified Executive Chef and Vice President of the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Culinary Federation (ACF), which recently selected her as the 2017 “Chef of the Year.”
